A (True) short tale of a Judoka

News Article #11

With the right support in place and a Coach that understands what you need to make your Judo Journey go from strength to strength - Dreams become reality!

A Judoka was once told by a Sensei that they would never amount to anything, that they could go no higher than a certain grade. That Student is now a world champion and attained grades higher than he was told he could get to, all because they found the right support and patience of a Coach that listened and worked alongside that student to a level that was appropriate. If you have a coach that belittles you, or talks down your achievements, then it's time to move on and find one that understands you and what you want to achieve in Judo and in life and how they can help to get you where you want to be.

If you ARE a Coach like this, then hang your head in shame, for there is no better feeling than teaching and watching your Students become stronger, more confident and eventually better than yourself.
