In December 2023, Felicity Warburton and Liam Jones were both promoted up to 1st Dan. This follows a tough year of training and competition with the cream on top of the cake coming away with Gold and Silver at the World Games in Beverwijk, Holland earlier in the year.
Both students have been with Kazoku-Kan since we opened in 2017, and longer still with Rich being their coach and mentor during their junior years.
Felicity and Liam are the club's first homegrown Dan grades and we are so incredibly proud of their hard work and achievements throughout the year and will continue to support them on their journey to 2nd Dan.
Head Coach, Rich Morrish said: "It's always a pleasure to see your students progress and move up the grades, to have the first 2 members of Kazoku-Kan reach their 1st Dan is a journey well travelled and I couldn't be prouder of them for achieving their goals."
